Founded on the Principle That Pension Matters Should Not Be Left to Chance
Wasiat Seri was established in Kota Kinabalu by legal practitioners who had seen, too often, the difficulty that families faced when pension entitlements were unclear, disputed, or undocumented. The firm's name reflects a commitment to provisions that are properly set out — provisions that hold.
From the beginning, the practice has focused on one area: the legal aspects of pension planning and protection for individuals in Sabah. This focus keeps our knowledge current and our guidance relevant. We work within the framework of Malaysian pension legislation and remain in close contact with the regulatory bodies that our clients interact with.

The Malaysian pension landscape spans several bodies — Kumpulan Wang Simpanan Pekerja (KWSP/EPF), Kumpulan Wang Persaraan (KWAP), and specific state-linked schemes — each with its own documentation requirements and dispute channels. Familiarity with these structures is central to the service we provide.
Our practice covers three connected areas. First, the review of entitlements: understanding what a person has accrued, what choices they have at the point of retirement, and what documentation is in place. Second, the representation of clients whose claims have been delayed, denied, or contested. Third, the arrangement of ongoing protective documentation — nominees, records management, and scheduled reviews — so that provisions remain clear over time.
